Honoring the Life of Kyndal Gottfried

Dearest Donors, Friends, and Supporters,

It is with profound sadness that I write to inform you of the passing of Kyndal Gottfried, a bright and courageous 8-year-old who brought light and joy to everyone around her. Kyndal, the beloved daughter of Raquel Gottfried, had a heart full of love and a spirit full of strength. She never wanted to see her mother cry, and through the toughest days of her diagnosis, she continued to share her radiant smile with the world.

Kyndal was diagnosed with cancer over three years ago, and though her battle was long and difficult, she faced every challenge with bravery and grace. She lived her life fully, cherishing each moment with her family and the people who loved her. Her joy was contagious, whether she was splashing in the pool or kicking a soccer ball, always smiling through it all.

Through our SabesWings Rally Program, our son Aidan forged a special bond with Kyndal—one that will last a lifetime. He rallied behind her by joining her during soccer practices and games, and in doing so, he created the "We Kick for Kyndal" Campaign. This initiative showed her soccer team how to stand by Kyndal and support her when she needed it the most. Aidan’s connection with Kyndal was more than just a friendship—it was a symbol of the love and community that surrounds her.

While SabesWings was proud to offer support to Kyndal and her family, we know that her journey was deeply enriched by the incredible care and compassion she received from Jack's Helping Hand (https://www.jackshelpinghand.org) and Central Coast Home, Health, and Hospice (CCHHH). Jack’s Helping Hand supported Kyndal throughout her diagnosis in ways that were nothing short of extraordinary, while CCHHH provided a community of love and care during Kyndal’s final days. It is through partnerships and friendships with organizations like Jack's Helping Hand and CCHHH that we are reminded of the incredible power of coming together for the greater good. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Kyndal, we know you have your wings now. You are flying high above us, sharing that beautiful smile we all came to love so dearly. You will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we will carry your memory with us in everything we do.
